THE VESSEL: Ocean Flyer is a 45' Californian motor yacht with two Caterpillar 375 HP diesel engines. She is outfitted with a large generator and inverter when shorepower is not available. Ocean Flyer is configured very comfortably for long-range cruising. The guest stateroom is large and has a walk-around queen-sized bed and an attached head with sink, toilet and shower stall. The owner's stateroom is also very large with a queen-sized walk-around bed and attached head with sink, toilet, tub and shower. This stateroom also houses a small office area for the laptop, printer, supplies and files. Quite nice!!!!! The “galley” has a full-size refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, a 4-burner electric stove and a convection microwave oven. Opposite the galley is a dinette that easily seats 4. The saloon has an L-shaped sofa that pulls out for additional sleeping space as well as an upholstered swivel chair. The aft deck is enclosed with roll-up eisenglass curtains and has a teak dining table and chairs. The flybridge can accommodate a crowd and is fully covered but has roll-up eisenglass curtains to give the open-air feeling on warmer days. For entertainment, there is a television in the saloon and stereo speakers in every living space. Onboard are CD and DVD players, cable television hookup while docked, satellite television when at anchor, satellite telephone, satellite XM radio, satellite XM weather service and a large amplifier for enhancing cell phone reception. For the electronics buffs, we have installed new navigation equipment including the Furuno VX-2 chartplotter/radar overlay system, a backup Garmin chartplotter, a forward-looking sonar depthsounder, a standard depthfinder, 2 VHF radios and a remote control Furuno autopilot.
